Dot Lumen’s solution enhances mobility, confidence, and inclusion for the visually impaired. It opens up access to everyday spaces, public transit, sidewalks, offices, without needing a human or animal guide. It also shifts the narrative from aid to autonomy, which aligns with broader goals in assistive tech and ethical design.
Accessing This Experience
This is not a consumer-available headset yet. The experience has been piloted in healthcare institutions and with disability organizations in Europe. The team has presented at CES and earned awards like the Red Dot Design Award and SXSW Innovation Award. Currently, it’s not available for individual trial or subscription.
