Purpose
Traces is a collective, immersive VR documentary that guides participants through the emotional landscape of grief. Set in a dreamlike forest, users engage in a ritualistic journey to acknowledge, express, and integrate their sorrow, whether from the loss of a loved one, a friendship, or a dream. The experience emphasizes that grief is not something to overcome but to be embraced as part of life's fabric.
Where We See Impact
The project has been showcased at SXSW 2025, participating in the XR Experience Competition. Its innovative approach to grief counseling through VR provides a new avenue for emotional healing and has been recognized for its contribution to mental health support.
